How to pick up Rental Cars at Oakland Airport

Passengers take the Rental Car Shuttle from terminals to the Rental Car Center. When picking up a vehicle from an off-airport rental car agency, passengers will have to transfer to an off-airport rental car agency shuttle.

How to drop off Rental Cars at Oakland Airport

Passengers returning to an on-airport rental car agency will return the vehicle to the Rental Car Center. When passengers return the vehicle to an off-airport rental car agency, they will need to take the off-airport rental car agency shuttle to the Rental Car Center to transfer to the Rental Car Shuttle for transportation to terminals.

Notes:

Passengers with luggage for checking-in may have to arrive at the airline ticket counters at least 90 minutes before their domestic departures and at least two hours before international flights, including Hawaii. Check with the airline for additional instructions.

All on-airport rental car agencies are in one location at the airport's North Field. It is about 10 minutes from the terminals.

AC Transit

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Trains at OAK

BART is an elevated and subway public transportation system serving the San Francisco Bay Area. It has a station at OAK located just across the street from the terminals.

A quick 8-minute train ride to the Coliseum BART will connect passengers to San Francisco, Downtown Oakland, including other BART destinations.

Generally, this line is open between 5-8 am until midnight daily.
