Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Trains at Oakland International Airport

BART has 50 stations covering East Bay, Oakland, San Jose, Peninsula, and San Francisco.

Trains depart from OAK every 6 minutes during most hours and every 20 minutes after 11 pm.

  • Weekdays: 5 am – Midnight
  • Saturdays: 6 am – Midnight
  • Sundays: 8 am – Midnight

The BART station is just across the street from the terminals. A quick 8-minute train ride to the Coliseum BART will connect passengers to San Francisco, Downtown Oakland, and all BART destinations.

Fare

Fares vary. For example, a one-way trip from Oakland International Airport to San Francisco International Airport costs $17.00. Discounts for senior citizens, disabled, and young passengers apply. (Youth 5-18 years old get 50% off with a youth Clipper card. Seniors age 65 and over get 62.5% off with a Senior Clipper card.)

Travelers should follow the signs to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART station. AirBART shuttle and AC Transit Line operate regular schedules between the Coliseum BART station and Oakland International Airport for an additional fee.
